Meaning of Parents’ Day in 2022
Every year on the fourth Sunday in July , the notion of Fathers’ Day and Mothers‘ Day are combined to create Parents’ Day 2022. It is a day to celebrate parenting and honor all parents (including mothers, dads, grandparents, great-grandparents, stepparents, foster parents, and grandmothers and grandfathers) for their contributions to society.

History of Parents’ Day
In 1994, President Bill Clinton officially enacted a Congressional Resolution, beginning the history of Parents’ Day in 2022. Republican Senator Trent Lott introduced the legislation. The purpose of Parents’ Day 2022, according to the Congressional Resolution, is to “recognize, uplift, and encourage the role of parents in the upbringing of children.”
Traditions of Parents’ Day 2022
Children send cards or gifts to their parents or other parent figures on Parents’ Day 2022 as part of the customs. Some individuals also make an extra effort to reach out to them. Families often gather together during this time for lunch or dinner. Local announcements during church services or at nearby community gatherings pay special homage to parental figures.
